Hempstead Town, in conjunction with the Long Island Crisis Center, is hosting a free workshop that will help senior citizens face stressful challenges often related to medical issues, grieving the loss of a loved one and/or isolation. These issues can make what should be the golden years, a time of stress. The program, which will feature a 30-minute presentation followed by a question and answer period, will be held at several Town of Hempstead Senior Centers:

Wednesday, May 20th, 12:30 PM - Oceanside Senior Center, 2900 Rockaway Ave., Oceanside
Thursday, May 21st, 10:30 AM - Franklin Square Senior Center, 1182 Martha Pl., Franklin Square
Friday, May 22nd, 11 AM - Levittown Senior Center, 555 N. Newbridge Rd., Levittown
Wednesday, May 27th, 12 noon - Bellmore Senior Center, 2000 Bellmore Ave., Bellmore
Tuesday, June 2nd, 11:00 AM - Green Acres Senior Center, 400 Flower Road., Valley Stream
The Long Island Crisis Center, located in Bellmore, is Nassau County's only 24/7 crisis intervention and referral center. It offers free, anonymous, confidential and non-judmental services to Long Islanders. All senior residents are welcome to attend a workshop.
