Newbridge Arena offers year-round ice skating fun for the entire family. During public skating sessions, the arena offers birthday parties, ice skate rentals, snack bar and a full service pro shop. Instruction is offered in all levels of figure skating and hockey. Freestyle skating is taught by the premier professional coaches on Long Island. Private lessons are available for both figure and hockey skaters. Call the rink office for information. Stanley Cub Camp

A hockey and skating development camp for the pre-school skater. One week of 1½ hour sessions designed to teach ice skating and stick handling to that budding NHL star. First Camp Session: July 16 to 20, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Second Camp Session: August 20 to 24, from 12 to 1:30 p.m.

Registration: Now in progress, space is available. Call 783-6181 for details. Fee: $210 - Skate rental is an additional $10.

Summer Youth Hockey House League

The Summer Youth Hockey House League -- for children ages 5 to 16 -- consists of eight one-hour sessions (one clinic, one practice and six games) on Sunday mornings from July 8 to August 26.

Registration: Now in progress, space is available. Call 783-6181, ext. 12 for details. Fee: $130 for children ages 10 and under; $160 for ages 11 and up.

Ferraro Brothers Elite Hockey Camps & Clinics

Skate with former Olympians and former New York Islanders and New York Rangers stars Chris and Peter Ferraro. This camp will help young stars improve skating speed and agility, stick handling, passing and shooting skills. Elite goalie instruction is also provided.

Laura Stamm International Power Skating

Laura Stamm returns for a fourth season to provide top flight instruction for all ages. This clinic is held from August 20-23, from 6-8 p.m.

Mini Mite Training Camp

Camp runs July 16-20 from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and August 20-24 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for children ages 5-7. Training camp consists of two hours of skill development (skating, stick handling and shooting) followed by a controlled scrimmage, which emphasizes positioning, teamwork and fun.

Registration: Now in progress, space available. Fee: $225 per player.

Fall/Winter Recreational Ice Hockey League

League consists of 22 hours of ice time, an evaluation/clinic, 10 games, eight practices, two scrimages and single-elimination playoffs. Each team will have approximately one hour of ice time per week.

Division ages are as follows: Mite, ages 5-6; Squirt, ages 7-9; Pee Wee, ages 10-12; and Bantam, ages 13-16. All ages as of January 1, 2012.

Registration: Current league members and Town of Hempstead residents begins June 10, from 8 a.m. to noon. Open registration for all others begins July 2. IN PERSON registration by parent or legal guardian required. New members must provide birth certificate with seal or U.S. Passport, proof of medical insurance, a social security number and full payment. No refunds.

Fee: For Mites, it is $400 on June 10 and $430 after June 10. For Squirts, Pee Wee and Bantam it is $490 on June 10 and $520 after June 10.
