Pickleball 101 - Beginners Pickleball

This “sweet” game with a “sour” name is the fastest growing sport among baby boomers in America. Created in the mid 1960’s, and now popular in many retirement communities, the game is played on a badminton-sized court with paddles, a ball similar to a whiffle ball and with a net lowered to 34 inches in height. Learn all the basic rules of play in 4 hours of group instruction. Choice of morning or evening classes on a first-come, first-served basis. Each class is held at Seamans Neck Park in Seaford with a limit of 24 players.  For information, please call 292-900, ext. 7244.

The goals of this one 90-minute session will be to help those who already know how to play but are seeking to develop shot consistency, improve the "soft" game, the drop shot, non-volley zone play and doubles game strategy. Much of the time will be spent on skill drills and analysis of play. Workshop limited to 16 players for each session.Seamans Neck Park, Seaford
