Kundalini yoga combines breathing, movement, meditation, stretching, relaxation and chanting. The first style of yoga, Kundalini works on all aspects of the mind, body and spirit. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing and bring an exercise mat. Do not eat two hours prior to class.
Dynamic, yet gentle yoga postures and conscious breathing will help you touch the peace and tranquility that lies within. The essence of Kripalu Yoga is experienced by a meditative and continuous flow of postures that guide the student to an awareness of the body, mind and spirit.
Vinyasa means to flow or merging movement with the breath. Vinyasa classes focus on breathing and seek to move students through a sequence of postures as the breath flows in and out. This class style is inherently diverse and sequencing will vary with each practice. Fee to be paid by check or money order only, payable to the Town of Hempstead. Class size will be limited and registration is on a first come, first served basis.
