Town's Summer Shows are all Children's Stuff

Children of all ages will enjoy the amusing antics of three uniquely talented variety shows scheduled to appear at parks across the Town of Hempstead during the upcoming Children’s Summer Festival, announced Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray.  All performances will be presented FREE of charge, without need of tickets or reservations.

“During our upcoming children’s shows, youngsters will be delighted by music, magic and amazing animal adventures,” said Supervisor Kate Murray. “The Children’s Summer Festival offers family entertainment at beautiful parks throughout the township.”

The Free Children’s Summer Festival will feature 3 individual shows and 31 total performances.  The summer schedule includes ERIK’S REPTILE EDVENTURE, a fun-filled “Edventure” designed to educate children about the importance of science and nature (from July 17th to July 24th), performances by singer-songwriter STACEY PEASLEY (from July 27th to July 31st), and THE MAGIC & COMEDY of JIM McCLENAHAN, which is sure to elicit giggles and guffaws from youngsters and adults alike (from August 3rd to August 7th).

All children’s shows will be held outdoors, and blankets or lawn chairs are suggested for seating comfort.  For festival information, including dates, times and park locations, call (516) 292-9000, ext. 7382 or visit the town’s website at www.toh.li.
