Just Ahead of Cupid's Arrow: Couples to Tie the Knot at Hempstead Town Hall in Time for Valentine’s Day Weekend

Cupid’s arrow will point toward Hempstead Town Hall on Friday, February 12th as couples are lining up to wed at Town Hall’s charming and historic courtroom in celebration of the most romantic time of the year.

Hempstead Town Clerk Nasrin Ahmad and her staff of marriage officers will officiate over weddings and vow renewals throughout the day in the majestic courtroom, which will be adorned with Valentine’s Day themed décor and a festive arch.

“I invite couples to share their special day during the most romantic time of the year at Town Hall,” Ahmad said. “The elegant and historic setting of the courtroom truly sets a picturesque backdrop for weddings and special occasions.”

Along with the support of generous sponsor Stop & Shop, the happy couples will enjoy an attractive courtroom adorned with romantic decorations, floral arrangements, a festive arch, refreshments, a sparkling cider toast, and much more.

“This is one of the most enjoyable functions that I undertake in my role as Town Clerk,” Ahmad said. “I wish all of our couples a lifetime of health and happiness together.”

Couples must secure a marriage license at least 24 hours in advance and make advance reservations to participate in the special Valentine’s Day weekend ceremonies. There are still openings, but they are filling up quickly. For more information, or to make a reservation, please call the Town Clerk’s Office at 516-812-3046.
